Set The Charge is an original four-piece eclectic band hailing from Westchester, New York. With the framework for the band being laid down in 2005, Set The Charge had largely been a studio project until early 2014 when brothers –and founding members- Frank and Anthony Valbiro began playing shows as a two-piece. After playing shows at venues like Garcia’s at The Capitol Theatre, in Port Chester, NY; and a slew of shows in the New York City rock club circuit, the stars began to align and the longtime two-piece had connected with its missing pieces – Derek Ortiz and Tom Dicarlucci.

Set The Charge is comprised of Anthony Valbiro on rhythm guitars and vocals (also the YouTube sensation behind “Ten Second Songs”); Tom Dicarlucci on lead guitars; Derek Ortiz on bass guitars; and Frank Valbiro on drums.

In 2015, Set the Charge released their E.P. – Auditory Insemination. Drawing from influence from all eras of rock music, and many genres beyond rock, Set The Charge’s sound is as much of an homage to the past as much as it is a head first dive into the contemporary. The compilation of the band’s lineup not only filled out the sound in a dynamic way – the diverse, shared, musical tastes of the members continues to bring a new aura to the many projects in the pipeline.

From seeing out the last days of the original Trash Bar in Brooklyn, to taking on new adventures like the filming of AXS TVs, “Breaking Band” with rock legend Cheap Trick’s Robin Zander (air date – 2/14/16) and making appearances at such events as StreamCon, Set the Charge is set to deliver big things in 2016 and beyond!
